South Florida's trusted tile installation team

Tile is the most permanent floor you can put in a home - and the easiest one to install badly. A great tile job depends 80% on subfloor prep, mortar coverage, and layout, and only 20% on the tile itself. D'Landra Wooden Floors uses experienced tile setters, large-format-rated mortars, and uncoupling membranes (Schluter Ditra and Kerdi) on every wet-area install so your tile lasts as long as the house.

We supply and install ceramic, porcelain, natural stone, glass, and mosaic tile for floors, showers, backsplashes, fireplaces, and full commercial spaces across South Florida.

Where tile is the right choice

Tile is unmatched in any room that sees water, heat, or heavy traffic. Bathrooms, mudrooms, laundry rooms, entryways, sunrooms, and kitchens all benefit from a properly installed tile floor.

  • Bathrooms and showers - 100% waterproof when installed with a proper membrane system
  • Kitchens - heat-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to wipe clean
  • Entryways and mudrooms - handles salt, grit, and wet boots without complaint
  • Heated floors - tile is the best conductor for radiant in-floor heating
  • Commercial spaces - handles the wear and slip resistance restaurants and retail need

How we install tile that lasts

We start with a full subfloor review - any deflection, moisture, or unevenness gets fixed before a single tile is set. We use modified thinset mortars chosen for the tile size, back-butter large-format tiles for full coverage, and use leveling clips on planks and large rectangles to eliminate lippage. Showers are built with Schluter Kerdi or RedGard waterproofing, sloped pre-pitch mortar beds, and properly bonded curbs.

Every install ends with sealed grout (or epoxy grout where requested) and a final detail walk before we hand the keys back.

How we install tile that lasts

Tile Flooring - frequently asked questions

Most rooms take 2-3 days: day one for demo and prep, day two for setting tile, day three for grouting and sealing. Showers and large-format installs add another day or two.

On plywood subfloors and any heated floor, yes - it prevents cracked tile and grout from substrate movement. On concrete slabs it's optional, but we still recommend it in wet areas.

Sometimes - if the existing tile is solidly bonded, level, and the floor height won't cause door clearance issues. Otherwise we remove the old tile and start with a flat subfloor.

Standard cement grout will eventually stain if not sealed. We seal all grout on install day, and we offer epoxy grout (stain-proof, no sealing needed) as an upgrade in kitchens and showers.
